On arrival drive to the hotel. After lunch, visit the National Museum and the Paro Dzong (fortress). Later witness a game of archery before hunting for souvenirs in Paro town. In the evening, you are free to enjoy yoga/spa/swimming at Como Shambhala Spa, Uma Paro.

Morning hike to the famous Taktshang Goemba (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. Enjoy a vegetarian lunch in the cafeteria on the way back. The hike is challenging and will take about 3 – 4 hours to complete. Next stop is Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most beautiful temples. We end the day with an authentic Bhutanese cuisine at Red Rice Restaurant.

Morning drive to the warm valley of Punakha (4 hours drive). Stopover in Wangdue town for a delicious lunch in local restaurant. After lunch, we continue our drive to Punakha. Check in and refreshments at Amankora, after which we spend the rest of the afternoon at the awe-inspiring Punakha Dzong. Many visitors have been impressed with the Dzong’s splendor which is an example of finest Bhutanese art and architecture. Dinner at the resort.

Morning hike to the unique temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang built by one of the queens. Lunch at Amankora. In the afternoon, you have the option to take a pleasant hike through rice fields to Chimi Lakhang, Tantric Buddhist temple or spend the afternoon at Amankora spa. Dinner at Amankora.

A visit to the School of Souvenir Production supported by the Youth Development Found (YDF), Bhutan, before our morning drive to the valley of Phobjikha, the winter home of the endangered black necked crane which visits Bhutan from end of October till February. Afternoon walk around the beautiful valley of Phobjikha where you will get an opportunity to visit the farm houses of the locals and to meet the people as well.
Overnight at the Dewachen in Phobjikha | Altitude: 2900m
Early morning walk around the valley where you can take photographs with lovable school children. After breakfast drive over the pass and through the amazing landscape to reach back to the warm and windy Wangdue town. After lunch, continue your drive to Thimphu over the pass of Dochu la(5 hours total drive time). Check in at Taj Tashi. Enjoy an evening stroll around the town or to experience the Bhutanese nightlife, drop in at the OM Bar for cool drinks and music.

Morning visit the School of Arts and Craft, National library, Textile and the Folk Heritage Museums. Afternoon visit the Zilukha nunnery, Dechen Phodrang monastic shcool and Changangkha Lhakang. Late afternoon, we drive to Paro, arriving at Zhiwa Ling in the evening.

Early morning drive for Haa valley excursion which opened to international tourists recently. You will be crossing over one of the highest motorable road in Bhutan. On a clear day one can have the direct face to face view of the Mt. Jumolhari, the highest peak in Bhutan. Picnic lunch in the valley. After visiting the valley drive back to Paro.

Early morning departure flight out of Paro. Our tour guide will bid us farewell at the airport.
